In badiu from Santiago I dont' know if it is the same, but in kriol of Sao Vicente/SAnto Antao/Fogo etc... they say "mancara" for peanut.

I am Italian. I love Sao Vicente! I am doing a research. I suppose that the following word is coming from MesoAmerica or Antille, but I need somebody to confirm this. Please: how do you say "arachide"/peanut in Sao Vicente or Santiago creole?
I am not able to find this in the online lexicon or local libraries.
